July 26 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Dear MDBC members,

INTERPOL has been fighting Cybercrime from their Global Complex for Innovation in Singapore since 2015.The main task is supporting member countries around the world in their ongoing investigations.  In addition, the focus is on understanding current digital crime threats and looking forward to how new crimes may occur in the digital space.  This is of an uncertain and unpredictable nature, and very often these threats are still underestimated by people and organizations.

Organized in cooperation with Medini Iskandar and GBS ISKANDAR.

Assistant Director Timo Kansil will be giving a presentation on how the current cyber threat landscape is evolving and which counter measures are available.  In particular,  partnerships with the private sector are of interest to INTERPOL in finding these solutions.

Timo Kansil serves at INTERPOL in the capacity of Assistant Director of the Global Complex for Innovation (IGCI).  IGCI is based in Singapore and is INTERPOL’s newly opened executive directorate that deals with cybercrime, capacity building, and innovation.  Timo Kansil was seconded to INTERPOL from the National Police of The Netherlands.
