We care about our members and it shows! MDBC is proud to be recognized for our proactive membership engagement initiatives and we will continue to do our best to engage with you – our members, in order to best meet your needs.
MDBC uses an iterative approach to continuously improve their member engagement. They are proactive in understanding their member’s needs and systematically test possible improvements to engage their members, and then implement the services that cater to their member’s needs. The chamber has very happy members, great renewal numbers and quite steep increase in new members with great satisfaction. One example of this is their most recent survey, where they found that business development and local talent acquisition was a difficulty for a portion of their members. Thus, they organized a Connects Fair and expanded their HR services to provide additional support.
What makes MDBC different? They are unique as they allow their members a constant dialogue to express their needs or concerns. Malaysia is a country with a very intricate business environment which makes it difficult for newcomers. Using their engagement strategy, they assure their members receive relevant information to help their businesses on a consistent basis. They take the initiative to develop services upon understanding their members’ needs from this dialogue. MDBC is also unique due to their pioneering member engagement strategies that no other Dutch chamber has done in the region (or other Chambers in Malaysia) such as the talent acquisition initiatives through their Student Internship Program and Spouse Program. They are constantly evolving ideas to best meet the needs of their members.
