EUMCCI / MDBC: ICW – Enhancing Business Performance Through Advocacy
January 30, 2018 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am
Dear MDBC members,
PLEASE NOTE: This event has been cancelled.
EUMCCI is pleased to present the first “In Conversation With” series event for 2018 on: Enhancing Business Performance Through Advocacy.
Advocacy is an effort to influence public policy in an open and transparent manner. As a tool of civil society, it addresses issues of broad concern to the community or country, and makes the case for change by presenting evidence and support from civic constituencies. This “In Conversation With” edition will discuss on how, through advocacy, the private sectors can share essential practitioner information and perspectives with government on markets in enhancing their business operating environment. In addition to the private sector, this forum will also explore why the Government needs this micro – level input on the economy in order to understand the effects of its policy choices and to create incentives for investment and economic growth. Advocacy generates open discussion of recommendations and facilitates better coordination of long-term interests between the public and private sector.
