MDBC Penang: Dialogue w/ the CM on Penang 2030

A briefing by, and interactive dialogue with the Hon. Chief Minister of Penang on “Penang 2030”.
Organised by the Malaysian Dutch Business Council (MDBC) in collaboration with The State of Penang and investPenang.

The Malaysian Dutch Business Council is honoured to inform and invite you to our special event: Briefing by the Hon. Chief Minister of Penang, YAB Chow Kon Yeow.
The Chief Minister has been requested to speak on:
* Penang 2030 (esp Theme 2): Upgrading the Economy to Increase
Income of Households. With its sub-topics related to digital,
green economy, sustainable agriculture, tourism, creative industries
and business services.
* Industry 4.0 / Digital Economy and Talent.
Topics that are very close to Penang’s economic growth and
of much interest to the business community.
* The Penang Transport Master Plan: Update on Latest Developments
and Interaction between State and Private Sector on the
implementation of the TMP.
The briefing will be complemented by practical input from various experts and followed by an interactive panel discussion and networking.
The panel will include:
– H.E. Karin Mössenlechner (Netherlands Ambassador)
– Dato’ Dr. Kenny Ooi Eng Hock (FMM Penang Chairman)

To make the dialogue as practical as possible for the corporate sector, we have requested YAB Chief Minister to focus on what is required of (and what the opportunities are for) the private sector to assist the Penang State Government in bringing Penang 2030 to reality. Therefore (and as per the interest of the State Government), we would like to invite many representatives of the business community to attend.
Guests are are encouraged to submit issues and questions to MDBC by Monday, 3 December 2018 so that appropriate responses may be delivered during the panel discussion.
We are honoured that the strong presence of the MDBC Penang Chapter has also been recognised by the Penang State Government, and for the Hon. Chief Minister to commit to our bi-annual dialogue, delivering his talk to MDBC members and many invited guests (which will include several Penang Exco members, all related State agencies, trade / industry organisations, and corporate representatives in Penang). So please make a date with us on Friday 7 December! We look forward to your RSVP.
This event is free of charge for MDBC members with the following guidelines:
– One (1) complimentary registration / MDBC member – company;
– Two (2) complimentary registrations / MDBC Penang Chapter member – company.
(Please note that no – shows will be charged RM 150 nett.)
Additional colleagues and guests can be registered at RM 150 nett per person (inclusive of coffee / tea / fingerfood at the networking). Registration commits to payment; late cancellations (after Tuesday, 4 December) and no – shows will be charged RM 150 nett per person (this also applies to complimentary registrations!).
