Malaysia Introduces a Business Travellers Centre (BTC) at KLIA to Ease Entry of World Business Travellers

Recently, Malaysia opened the Business Travellers Centre (BTC) at KLIA to ease the entry of business travellers from around the world. Located at Gate C36, Satellite Terminal, KLIA, BTC is now open for short term foreign business travellers planning to carry out their business tasks in the country. MDBC Director Jack Ang (GM, Markant Office Furniture) was on hand to witness the opening of BTC.

BTC is one of the key components of the One Stop Centre (OSC) initiative by the Malaysian Government to ease the movement of Business Travellers – from entry to exit point. Both Short and Long Term Business Travellers may apply for entry permission through the dedicated portal at safetravel.mida.gov.my

Short Term Business Travellers are required to submit the online application 14 days in advance of planned travel.  BTC is a collaborative effort between MITI, MIDA, Ministry of Health (MOH), Department of Immigration Malaysia, Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB), and Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB).
