MDBC, together with TalentCorp and BeluxCham are proud to bring you the Human Resources Forum 2025.  Join us on Wednesday, 30 July at WORQ KL Sentral to learn more about improving retention, creating better connections between managers and teams, and opportunities for improving your talent pipeline through the ILHAM KESUMA incentive by the Ministry of Human Resources.

Insentif Latihan Amali (ILHAM), or Practical Training Incentives, is an ecosystem of internship incentives for employers by the Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA).

ILHAM KESUMA helps to ensure quality internships, structured professional development, and fairness and equity, benefitting employers whilst encouraging them to nurture local talent through meaningful, structured, and paid internship programs.

SPEAKERS & PANELISTS:

Aidi Ahmad Ghazi (Assistant Vice President, TalentCorp)

Aidi assists the Head of GCRM to review and improve the quality of GCRM interactions with TalentCorp’s clients. He is also involved in special projects, including artificial intelligence planning and implementation within GCRM and the TalentCorp group.  Aidi brings with him more than 25 years of client relationship management experience, having previously overseen the Residence Pass – Talent (RP – T) initiative for nine years. Prior to that more than 16 years of experience with the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), where he focused on expatriate applications for MSC – status and ICT companies, MSC – status applications for companies and incubators, pre-seed grant fund monitoring and disbursement, as well as incubator management and development.  Aidi holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Business Administration from the University of Bath, England, United Kingdom.

Nakeeran (Vice President – Graduate & Emerging Talent, TalentCorp)

Nakeeran primarily oversees the SME, Mid – Size , MNC, Inter – Agencies, Investment Bodies, Business Associations & Chambers in TalentCorp’s Internship Facilitation. He has established profound relations with key players, organisations, and leading associations of the above sector to drive collaborations for talent development.  With over 14 years of client management, business development and sales / marketing experience in Astro, Digi and Oyo Malaysia, Nakeeran started out in TalentCorp in 2022 working on engagements with business associations & employers focusing on addressing mismatches between the talent market supply and demand.  Prior to TalentCorp, Nakeeran was a Head of Business Development in Oyo Malaysia where he managed prominent accounts mainly in the hotel sector. Nakeeran has a Master in Business Administration (International Business) from UNITAR International University.

Asyraful Munzir Ar Alhan (Assistant Vice President – Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement, MYXpats Centre)

Munzir works at the MYXpats Centre in Project Management and Stakeholder Engagement, where he handles projects involving external stakeholders like Government Ministries, GLCs, and International Business Chambers. Prior to joining TalentCorp, Munzir was with the Social Security Organisation (SOCSO) under the Employment Insurance System (EIS) Office and has been involved in providing Public Employment Services (PES) through Active Labour Market Policies (ALMPs).  Munzir holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management from the Universiti Tenaga Nasional and a Diploma in Plantation Management from Universiti Teknologi MARA.

Nor Adila binti Adzhar (Senior Associate, TalentCorp)

Adila is a Senior Associate in TalentCorp’s Residence Pass – Talent (RP-T) team, bringing over 10 years of experience with the organisation. She supports the RP – T’s implementation through applicant communications, engagements with Government agencies, and process coordination.  Her experience in administration, stakeholder engagement, and system support contributes to efforts aimed at enhancing service delivery and operational efficiency. She is also involved in initiatives to improve workflows and strengthen RP – T’s processes.  Adila holds a Degree in Tourism Management from UiTM and a Master’s in International Tourism Management from Manchester Metropolitan University.

Koen van Gurp (Managing Director, TalentSquare)

Koen van Gurp is a seasoned recruitment expert with over 25 years of experience in the industry. He began his career in corporate recruitment in the Netherlands, working with global brands such as Heinz, Unilever, and Siemens. In 2008, he relocated to Kuala Lumpur and founded TalentSquare, a regional Executive Search firm specializing in senior management and niche recruitment across Asia for multinational companies. Koen and his team are driven by the mission to “recruit to retain,” emphasizing long – term fit over short – term fixes. He is a strong advocate for data – driven and science – based recruitment practices, integrating psychometric assessments into the hiring process through a strategic partnership with Thomas International (now Compana). TalentSquare’s approach helps organizations make smarter, evidence – based hiring decisions that support sustainable growth and leadership development. Koen regularly shares his insights on leadership hiring, talent strategy, and the evolving role of assessments in modern recruitment through conferences and industry forums.

Hein – Jan Lapidaire (Managing Director, Compana International)

Hein Jan Lapidaire was raised in the Netherlands. Following his studies, he held several management positions in the hospitality industry before joining Thomas International in 1996 as a Senior Consultant for the Netherlands. Over the years, he has played a key role in growing and leading the Dutch sales team and also served in various positions, including Corporate Trainer and Vice President.  In 2015, Hein Jan relocated to Sydney to establish the Thomas International office and team for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).  In 2017, he moved to Kuala Lumpur to head the Thomas regional support center for the Asia – Pacific (APAC) region. Under his leadership, the Kuala Lumpur team earned multiple accolades in the Psychometric Vendor of the Year awards.  As of January this year, Thomas transitioned its Asia operations to Hein Jan’s private company, Compana International.  Hein Jan is deeply passionate about supporting organizations and individuals in enhancing self – awareness, boosting employee engagement, and cultivating strong organizational cultures. He is an accredited trainer and practitioner in numerous psychometric assessment tools and regularly facilitates workshops and speaks on topics such as personal performance improvement, intelligent selling, emotional management, and building high – performance teams. In his free time, Hein Jan enjoys playing tennis or paddle, and exploring the rich culinary and hospitality culture of Malaysia.

Mint Lee Chia Huay (Human Resources Director, Besi APAC)

Mint Lee Chia Huay brings over 20 years of extensive experience in human capital management. Throughout her career, she has held key HR roles across both local and multinational companies, spanning a wide range of industries including solar panel manufacturing, construction and engineering, IT services, oil and gas trading, and HR consultancy.Mint holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Commerce from Liverpool John Moores University. Her expertise covers the full spectrum of human resource functions, including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, learning and development, employee and industrial relations, performance management, coaching, succession planning, HR strategy, and leadership development.Known for her strategic mindset and collaborative leadership style, Mint is a trusted business partner to senior leadership teams.
