We have two important announcements regarding this informative event scheduled for (next week) Wednesday, 4 October from 09:00 – 11:30 hrs.

In October, Capital Markets Malaysia (CMM) (an affiliate of the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC)), will launch the Simplified ESG Disclosure Guide (SEDG) for SMEs, providing practical, structured guidance on disclosures expected of small – to – medium enterprises in relation to ESG matters;

2) We’re happy to announce that we will be making this a hybrid event.

Capital Markets Malaysia (CMM), an affiliate of the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), will launch the Simplified ESG Disclosure Guide (SEDG) for SMEs in October this year, providing practical, structured guidance on disclosures expected of small – to – medium enterprises in relation to ESG matters.

They have been working on developing this structured guide to empower SMEs to disclose their ESG data and performance, serving the larger needs of Malaysia’s supply chain ecosystem. The SEDG provides SMEs with a simplified and standardized set of ESG disclosures that will enable them to become more sustainable, remaining competitive and relevant, as well as in response to requests from stakeholders, including customers, investors, banks, and regulators.

Speaker

Navina Balasingam (General Manager, Capital Markets Malaysia)

Navina joined CMM in 2017, with an expertise in international stakeholder management and communications.  In her current role, Navina focuses on stakeholder engagement with capital market regulators and intermediaries, both domestic and foreign, to support the development and profiling of Malaysia’s capital market.  She also oversees content development for CMM’s programs and engagements, which prioritize sustainable finance and investment, the private markets, digital markets as well as the Islamic capital market. Navina leads the secretariat of the three CMM – led centers of excellence – the Malaysian Sustainable Finance Initiative, the Centre for Sustainable Corporations and the Sustainable Investment Platform and is a member of the Steering Committee of the UNDP Financial Centres for Sustainability.
