These are home – grown Malaysian defence companies working under the Ministry of Defence. DCDS – M brought a few of them together to float an idea, a business matching event that puts proven Dutch capability side by side with trusted local partners. The point was to keep it real, to test the appetite, hear where these companies feel their own gaps, and understand what a Dutch partnership would need to look like to genuinely be worth their time. DCDS-M listened for the fit on both sides, because matching only works when everybody walks away better off. This was the first outline of a supply chain taking shape, local depth on one side, Dutch engineering on the other, and DCDS-M right in the middle doing the connecting. Every company in that room widened the base of partners the coalition can now call on. And the matching – event idea stopped being just a nice thought and became something worth actually building.
