Rob Zomer (Manager – International Business, evofenedex), will be presenting the Trends in Export 2024 report: an annual survey among international Dutch companies about their growth expectations for the coming year.  The report is widely regarded as a barometer for the Dutch export climate.  Tying into this report, Rem Korteweg (Senior Research Fellow, Clingendael Institute) will present developments regarding the geopolitical outlook.  As a regular contributor to various international and national media, he will share his views based on the Trends in Export report.

Speakers:
Rob Zomer is BU Manager International Trade at evofenedex. He leads a team of 14 professionals in international trade which offers its expertise to members on a wide range of topics, e.g. international sales, customs, im- and export documents, VAT and contracts. Evofenedex shares knowledge throughout various content channels, education, surveys and events, such as ‘the National Export Event’ and ‘Trends in Export’. Rob is also Supervisory Board member of Beurtvaartadres, a leading company in customs declaration software.

Rem Korteweg is Senior Research Fellow at the Clingendael Institute. He works on Europe’s strategic role in the world, with a specific focus on the intersection between foreign policy, trade and security issues. Among his current research interests are European trade & industrial policy, the consequences of the Ukraine war, UK-EU ties, and Europe’s changing relations with global powers. Rem is also the coordinator of Clingendael’s public outreach initiatives.
