It’s time once again for the Interchamber Ladies Sundowner!

Initiated by our colleagues at the Malaysian German Chamber of Commerce (MGCC) and co – organized by MDBC and our colleagues at the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFM), the European Union Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (EUROCHAM), the Malaysian Australia Business Council (MABC), the Malaysia – Swedish Business Association (SWEDCHAM), the Malaysian Spanish Chamber of Commerce & Industry (La Cámara), the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (CANCHAM), the Malaysia Belgium Luxembourg Business Council (BeLuxCham), the Malaysia New Zealand Chamber of Commerce (MNZCC), and the American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM).

We’re happy to announce Datuk Shireen Muhiudeen as the guest speaker for this event.

Datuk Shireen Muhiudeen is the Founder and Managing Director of Corston – Smith Asset Management, an independent asset management company that was an early signatory to the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI).  A strong advocate of Corporate Governance best practices and Environment, Social and Governance (“ESG”) activism, Datuk Shireen has served on several Boards and Board Committees in public – listed companies including as Non – Executive Chairman of Bursa Malaysia. She also served as an Independent Non – Executive Director of AMMB Holdings Berhad, HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad, Integrax Berhad, and Encorp Berhad. She was a member of the Economic Action Council, chaired by the Prime Minister as well as a Board Member of the Federal Land Development Authority (“FELDA”).

In recognition of her work in the industry, she was named one of the 25 most influential women in the Asia-Pacific region for asset management by Asian Investor, a regional publication, in June 2011. In March 2014, she was honored by Forbes Asia as one of the 50 Asia’s Power Businesswomen 2014.  Datuk Shireen holds a Masters of Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University, United States and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California, United States.
