The Netherlands has selected Oshkosh Defense to produce 150 Dutch Expeditionary Patrol Vehicles (DXPV) as part of its Future Littoral All Terrain Mobility – Patrol Vehicle (FLATM-PV) program.

The DXPV is a variant of the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV), which Oshkosh designed and manufactured as the replacement for the US military’s High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle (Humvee).

As the FLATM-PV intends to procure 178 single variant patrol vehicles for the Dutch Marines, Oshkosh Chief Programs Officer Pat Williams said that the company is “honored that the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps has chosen to equip its formations with the Oshkosh DXPV.”

However, details about the vehicle’s technical specifications and the contract award were not disclosed.

Williams highlighted that the DXPV shares many commonalities with the JLTVs used by the US Army and allies, featuring “next-generation levels of off-road mobility, speed, transportability, and seamless operational and logistical interoperability” with NATO allies.

Operators include Brazil, Montenegro, Slovenia, and Lithuania, which took delivery of 50 more JLTV units in January and expects 65 more to complete their total order of 500 platforms this year.
